Current Services

  • One-on-One Reading Intervention

    Personalized, multi-sensory reading instruction at no cost to underserved families, helping children and adults build strong literacy skills with tailored lessons.

  • Early Literacy Program

    Group-based, multi-sensory reading instruction for Kindergarten to 2nd grade levels, offered for free in under-resourced neighborhoods. We also train local residents to serve as tutors.

  • Improv to Life Skills

    A unique collaboration with Arcade Comedy Theater, using improv techniques to build confidence, improve listening skills, and foster resilience for individuals with learning disabilities.

  • Neurodiversity in STEM

    Breaking barriers in STEM education through accessible virtual reality biology labs and engaging multi-sensory experiment videos, in partnership with Pitt Bio Outreach.

1 on 1 Reading Intervention

  • 28 students in 2024

  • 10 reading interventionists

  • Almost 600 sessions in 2024.

    • We are on track in 2025 to more than double this amount

  • We are on track to offer reading intervention to 40 students in 2025

  • 7 locations

Early Literacy Tutoring

  • In 2024 we tutored 86 students

  • In 2024 we worked with 10 early lit tutors

  • In 2024 we tutored at 4 locations

  • In 2025 we are currently at 5 locations and will expand to 4 new schools/programs this summer
